Pail Lid Applicator

The Pail Lid Applicator, also called a Pail Lidder, seamlessly applies lids to each bucket/pail just prior to sealing the lids as they ride along a conveyor. The machine accepts various sizes of round buckets/lids; 2, 4 & 5 gallon — with other sizes available (see Capabilities section, below).

Manufactured of 304 Stainless Steel & Food Safe plastics, designed & assembled to WDA Standards — this machine is ready for direct washdown operations.

The NEMA 4X enclosure protects the UL Certified electrical backpanel from the harsh chemicals and environmental factors of the production process. The machine’s frame is designed with openings so that all major components can easily be cleaned and inspected. Thread exposure is minimized with most mounting locations having been designed so that the fasteners seal the hole. The guards are easily removable (without tools) for cleaning & change-over and incorporate safety switches that indicate the current state of each guard.

Product change-over takes about 5 minutes with only 4 adjustments, recorded on the operator interface in user-defined recipes.

Recipes allow the operator to quickly change between products; recording motor speeds, lid placement timing, etc. A collection of top of the line components, primarily Allen-Bradley, form a small network of intelligent devices; minimizing electrical and software troubleshooting by reducing the amount of wire terminations. The machine is also Energy Efficient by pausing production operations if running idle for the specified time and the vacuum system consumes the minimum amount of compressed air to maintain vacuum, holding the lid.
